My Path to This Work
My interest in hormonal health began during my training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I was drawn to supporting women who were frustrated with the gaps that can exist in hormonal health care.
A few years into practice, I found myself on the other side of that experience.
After noticing changes in my own cycle, I was diagnosed with Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), also known as premature menopause. Suddenly, I was the patient — navigating a complex and emotionally charged diagnosis, working with fertility specialists, and searching for answers. I experienced firsthand the extraordinary care that exists within our medical system, and also the very real gaps: limited time with practitioners, little guidance on nutrition and lifestyle factors, incomplete testing and the feeling that my whole health picture wasn’t being seen.
That experience changed my practice. I knew I wanted to focus on exactly this space — to be the practitioner I wished I’d had access to. Someone who could sit with patients through the complexity, run thorough labs, bridge the gaps, and build a plan that made sense for their real life.
